Before Halo 2000: NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS (NV15) Promo (Hilarious)

01:31
This is probably my favourite Halo video to date! To be honest, I've been a GeForce2 hater for YEARS, but Halo as taught me that it's not so bad (I own a GeForce 2 GTS AGP 2x btw). This was a scripted video created by Bungie using footage from the E3 2000 demo to advertise the specifications and advantages of the NVIDIA GeForce 2 (NV10). Halo 2000 was designed to take full advantage of the OpenGL API (which Halo did use at the time) using the NVIDIA GeForce 2's new register combiner technology. Register combiners work similar to vertex/pixel shaders, but not quite the same. It was technically the most advanced video card of 2000 (but not faster than 3Dfx Voodoo 5 6000 or Rampage). The graphics in Halo were far superior to that of any PC game in 2000. The only game that came close was the old PC builds of Azurik (which originally had lots of cool gfx features and high res textures that were dumbed down for the Xbox).

Hot Rod Rebels [CANCELLED! Atari Arcade Prototype]

02:41
This is one of the last Atari arcade games. Unfortunately it was never completed because Atari decided to shutdown the coin-op division in the company. Hot Rod Rebels was intended to be a sequel to the SanFransisco Rush series. The hardware was also upgraded and used PC hardware. Instead of the usual MIPS CPU and 3Dfx Voodoo, it used a Pentium III (933MHz) and a GeForce 2 (unknown version, MX, GTS, embedded (NV1A) or possibly custom). Too bad, it looked realyl cool... Azurik Soundtrack [Not on OST!] #7: Return to Perathia

01:21
This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! This track is only played in one area of of the game; when you are returning to Perathia from the water realm. This is definitely another favourite, as it just just says "welcome home" without words. I don't know what the name of this track is, so I came up with the best name I could think of for the title.

Azurik: Rize of Perathia (Trailer 2)

01:58
Here's another trailer of my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! This one explains story's plot in general. Balthazar has been possesed by the Death Gaurdian and wants to steal the elemental discs to become the most powerful being in Perathia.

Azurik SoundTrack [Not on OST!] #18: Death Realm 1 (Lower Section)

01:37
This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! This is the theme played during the time you spend in the lower area of the death realm, nature's recycling plant. It's a really great track that helps capture the essence of the death realm. IMO, this would also go well with a nice restaurant with dark colours, lower lighting settings, and classy, of course, lol. I also like listening to this while walking through the neighbourhood during a nice summer night. Goes really nice with Seattle's upscale neighbourhoods and what not.

Azurik: Rize of Perathia Trailer

01:26
Azurik: Rize of Perathia was dev'ed by Adrenium (an Amaze Entertainment studio). It's a great game, buy a copy sometime :) This is an Azurik trailer showing off the game and what it's about. Even I have to admit, the voice acting in the beginning of the trailer was just plain awful.

Azurik Soundtrack [Not on OST!] #2: Earth Theme (Variant) with Battle Platform Theme.

01:13
This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! This audio sample was taken from two tracks. It was once downloadable from Adrenium but the link died and I had to search high and low on archive.org to obtain it! So here it is. 1. Track #1: The "Earth Theme" was released on the OST CD, but this one is very different from the one that was released. An unexpected find, but the first was undoubtedly a bit more colourful. 2. Track #2: This track is heard in a certain part of the Fire realm where you eventually reach a battle platform to fight these Blaze Sentinels to win a piece of the Fire Disc. Very stimulating.

Azurik Soundtrack [Not on OST!] #15: Air Realm Observatory

02:21
This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! The Air Realm's observatory is high above Perathia where the Air Guardian watches down upon Perathia. It has a truly remarkable theme and it is unlike nothing I've ever heard. I'll never forget how I was in awe when I actually sat down and listened to it while looking around this brilliantly designed level (it was simple but creative and well lit with that awesome fantasy feel).

Azurik Air Realm

02:04
Please excuse the low resolution of this vid, it was taken on my digital camera and I need a larger memory card! This is a little video of my favourite Xbox game once again, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! This is the part of the Air realm that lies above the great tree in the Earth realm. After aligning the lasers, you can ride the teleport beam up to the highest level and fight the Air guardian.

Cxbx: Xbox Dashboard (3944)

01:19
Last night, I got Cxbx to run the original Xbox Dashboard (XDK 3944). It's not perfect, but it's mostly working. It's has lots of visual bugs and no sound right now either, also you can't view the system info section or view view the memory section properly. Just got into AS bump creation today. Been finding a few images and music selections and realizing that they would make great AS bumps (too bad I don't work for William's Street, lol). Hope you enjoy my first bump! Azurik Soundtrack [Not on OST!] #8: Earth Realm Gate (Extended) *

01:47
This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! Now, this isn't truly an extended version, but two different music segments from the same area of the game. The first segment is played while standing outside of the Earth realm gates and the second is played as you enter the gate and start climbing the vines.

Azurik's 10th Anniversary

01:21
This is a video I made to honour and commemorate the 10 year Anniversary of my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! This game really means alot to me. In fact, it means the gaming universe to me! It isn't much, but I don't have any video editing software or any particular video editing skills (or else I would have taken more time to highlight the most underrated features of this excellent game), so this is the best I could do at the moment. I'm just happy and thankful that this game has made me a happy and cheerful gamer for 10 years and counting. Thank you Adrenium, thank you for making the Xbox1 worth owning

Cxbx WIP: Robotech: Battlecry

00:59
Feel free to visit my blog for future Cxbx updates: http://shogun3d-cxbx.blogspot.com/ Finally, by popular request, I managed to make a short video of Robotech: Battlecry running on Cxbx. Yes, it looks very buggy, but at least it gets this far. Quite frankly, it doesn't look too bad compared to how Panzer runs currently. It took a long time to get Robotech: Battlecry to get this far, but as soon as we can fix that bug related to the vertex buffers, the game should be fully playable. I plan to write a more detailed report on my blog.

Azurik Soundtrack [Not on OST!] #16: Air Guardian Battle

01:28
This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! Unfortunately, this is one of those tracks where you only have ONE chance to record it. So after defeating the Air Guardian, you'll have to start a new game to hear it again. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to start a new game just to record the theme from Azurik and Balthazar's first battle, should have done it then...

Azurik Soundtrack [Not on OST!] #17: Life Realm Theme

02:17
This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! I'm going to play this during some romantic candle lit Italian dinner! =] IMO, this track also catches the essence of that "flying around in space dancing with the stars" feeling. If I could ice skate on the rings of Saturn like on various cartoons, I'd do it while playing this theme!

Azurik Prototype Trailer (February 2001)

01:28
Someone recently linked me this rare gem that I thought was long lost. It's a prototype/beta trailer of my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! For those of you that have played the final released game, you'll notice several different features and what not that never did make it to the final game (i.e. textures, decals, level details, character animations, etc.) Enjoy!

Azurik: Earth Guardian

05:13
It's about time I started making more videos about my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! If you've ever wondered how to get to the Air realm, you need to beat this guardian first. Attacking him up front won't do you any good. It takes a few tries to beat him sometimes, but just try not to get overwhelmed by the rock shard monsters. Also, it helps alot to be able to switch powers both quickly and often.

Before Halo 1999: Gameplay video 2 (with commentary)

04:44
Here's another video I managed to find on Halo 1999! This video has a bit more commentary from the developers than the firs one. IIRC, this video originates from inciteTV, although that's not where I found it. I had to look even harder on google to find this vid. Hope you enjoy it!

I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! This is the battle theme of the Earth Guardian. Before Halo 1999: Gameplay video 3 (with HUD and Radar)

02:11
First of all, I'd like to apologize for the low quality picture of this video. This video only came in small resolutions unfortunately. :( Unlike the first two videos, this video is all about how the player would interact with Halo's environments, vehicles, weapons, etc. As you can see, the HUD was quite different and the RADAR is also a bit more informative. In 3rd person mode, there were two crosshairs instead of one to better assist the user in aiming and you could shoot and drive the warthog at the same time! Man oh man, I really wish I could play this someday (or better yet, see the source code and port it to the iPhone)!

[Adult Swim] Bump: Neon Shores

00:21
My 4th user made [AS] bump. Sorry if this tune is atrocious. I liked it and thought it might make a decent bump. The image is a picture of an island in the Maldives that has waters that glow neon blue at night. As for the music, it was a random find and I don't have much useful information on it.

XQEMU: Xbox Bios Emulation

00:17
espes has posted an update on his progress with XQEMU, an branch of QEMU modified to emulate Xbox. Keep in mind that this is pure hardware emulation, none of that HLE stuff. As you can see, it's buggy and there's no sound but keep in mind that this is the most promising work towards a *complete* Xbox emulator. This guy does good work, and I want to see him make further progress. Keep an eye on this. My Xbox emu dev blog: http://shogun3d-cxbx.blogspot.com/

A video of XQEMU playing DOAX at 10x speed. Vertex tweening appears to be slightly off for multiple blend weights, hence why the torso and neck are missing on characters. You cannot progress through the game since it's linked to audio sync (i.e. no sound == no voices to queue the next scene).

Azurik Trailer 4: Highlights

00:20
Hey everybody, I have yet another old preview video featuring my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rise of Perathia! None of this is really new, because I'm quite sure most of this was finalized at the time it was recorded. It was uploaded by Dr Steven CW IIRC and I wanted to share it on youtube of course! After all, Azurik is the reason I started this channel in the first place. Enjoy.

This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! Underground in the Earth realm lies an icy cave like structure where this theme is played. It's rather neat, giving us that nice little winter wonderland feel.

This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! This track is heard when moving along the sandy shores of Perathia's water realm. Sounds really nice, and gives me that adventurous feeling that I'm heading out for the first time and getting ready for an epic journey! Sorry for the somewhat fuzzy quality. I had to record the audio via audio-in cable (did it years ago).

Panzer Dragoon 1: Special ending

03:10
The special ending seen when completing the game on "hard" mode. Shows you the secret input code for "Wizard mode", which allows you to play the game at 60fps and making the game run 3 times faster. The Xbox version is a little different, but essentially the same. Just substitute the necessary buttons. This video was taken from the NV1 version for the PC.

This is an unreleased track (not on the commercial OST CD) from my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! This is the theme that is played when you are walking the streets of Perathia. Cxbx-R: Azurik ingame!

01:25
An improved video of Cxbx-Reloaded emulating my favourite Xbox game, Azurik: Rize of Perathia! Turns out all I needed to do was implement one vertex shader related function and that solved everything, almost. It's still broken and buggy w/ random crashes and lack of pixel shaders for lighting.

Halo running on Xeon

00:29
This is me playing Halo using the Xbox emulator, Xeon. So far, Xeon only supports Halo NTSC (Not Halo2!). The original author _SF_ hasn't been seen or heard from in years so the status of this emulator remains unknown. This game isn't fully playable on Xeon, but you can play though the first level (if you ever play it that long), but it closes on the next one. As for performance, Xeon runs Halo rather well on my desktop with an AMD Athlon64 3000+ (2.0GHz), NVIDIA GeForce 6600 256MB, and 512MB Ram. My performance was better with NVIDIA's older GeForce 6 drivers, allowing me to overclock Xeon to 72 FPS, but now I can only get 40 FPS max. Download Xeon here: http://emulator-zone.com/doc.php/xbox/xeon.html

I wanted to take a moment to release a few tracks for your listening pleasure and hopefully they will bring you as much joy as they do for me! Cxbx WIP: Quantum Redshift

00:31
First video of the game Quantum Redshift (XDK 4721) showing some ingame gfx. For more updates, check out my Cxbx dev blog: http://shogun3d-cxbx.blogspot.com/ Sorry it took me so long to upload this, the FRAPS codec was getting annoying. This is a video of Cxbx hanging at the loading screen. The reason it doesn't go ingame is because some random texture (512x512xDXT1) fails to create so the game continuously goes through the loading screen. I don't know why the gfx are so distorted yet. This game is a bit of a mystery in more than one way since it's problems with Cxbx make no sense (user input doesn't work, distorted gfx, and textures that fail to create even though I have more than enough video memory to create it).

Cxbx: Turok Evolution

00:30
Check out my Cxbx development blog: http://shogun3d-cxbx.blogspot.com/ I took this video of Cxbx playing Turok Evolution a while ago, but forgot to post it :) The textures tend to show up with a "dirty" look to it (black pixels) on my GeForce 6600, but looks fine on my GeForce 5200. What is Cxbx? It's an Xbox emulator that allows you to run Xbox games on your PC. So far Turok is the only "playable" game. A few others may give you intro screens and/or some menus. It uses HLE so it only supports XDK apps. Also 64-bit OSes are not supported.

Cxbx: Battle Star Galactica

00:30
Check out my Cxbx development blog: http://shogun3d-cxbx.blogspot.com/ Yeah, it's a bit old, but who cares? But just in case you didn't know, Cxbx is capable of going in-game with BattleStar Galactica. The game doesn't run very fast and sometimes will freeze up. In order to view most of the 3D gfx in game, you need to be running in fullscreen mode. In windowed mode, most stuff is missing. You also need to rename the video folder to prevent crashing (I just put an underscore in front of the name).

I strongly believe that the ending is a very important part of this track that helps build up the atmosphere.
